blueThree UN peacekeepers of Indian nationality were killed and three others were wounded by suspected ethnic Mai Mai militants at their base in the Kirumba area of North Kivu province late on 17 August. The peacekeepers were opening the gates of their base in order to aid a number of civilians when they were attacked.
