At least 21 people were killed in a suicide attack on the Coptic Church in Alexandria

At least 21 people were killed and 70 others were wounded when a suicide bomber attacked the Coptic al-Qiddissin (Saints) Church in the Sidi Bechr district of Alexandria late on 31 December. A nearby mosque was also damaged in the attack, and eight Muslim civilians were among those wounded.
